World of color idioms

Na engleskom, postoji mnogo idioma. Oni su kompleksni i ponekad nespretan redoslijed riječi, ali su vrlo korisne jer daju priliku da se bolje upoznaju sa svijetom fraza, engleskog govornog područja članovima porodice. Među njima postoji niz izraza, usko povezana sa bojama, naime, sve omiljene duginih boja koja je dobro radoznao um uče engleski jezik. Ono što mogu izvući korisne žute, crvene ili zelene «semafor»?


Pogledajmo na tabeli:

Pred nama je skup fraze u kojima dva ili tri riječi su ujedinjeni zdrav razum i obavezno nose konstitutivni element, naime boja. I sad ja predlažem da pokuša kombinirati fraze i slike ispod. Ne boj se ako ne dođu do njega brzo i odmah učiniti. Neophodno je da mislim da je malo, i svi postrojeni samo po sebi!

Dakle, vi ste sigurno dobili probati i ..? Pa, naravno, da ćete dobiti točno najbolji rezultat (možete usporediti moju verziju sa vašim!)

Golden opportunity (This is my golden opportunity and I can’t pass it up. — i ne mogu proći gore -. Ova prilika dolazi samo jednom u životu, a ja ne mogu propustiti).
Be browned off (She’s really browned off at you. — off na vas -. To je na tebi zlo kao đavo).
Look blue (He looks blue today after that quarrel. – da svađe -. To nije zabavno nakon toga svađe).
Tickled pink (She was tickled pink to be invited. — bude pozvan -. Bila je sretna kao slon koji je bio pozvan).
Silver screen (Stars of the silver screen — — zvezde ekrana).
White elephant (His mother left him this huge old house in the country — something of a white elephant, I think. — ogroman stara kuća u zemlji — nešto beli slon, mislim -. Njegova majka ga je ostavila nasljeđe ove bolshushy stare kuće u selu, što mislim da je teret za njega).
White-collar worker (I am just a white-collar worker, the office plankton, as people say. – jedan bijelo-okovratnik radnika, ured planktona, jer ljudi kažu -. Ja sam samo White Collar — ured plankton — mišljenje ljudi).

I zamislite da ćete biti u restoranu ili na zabavi u grupi engleskog govornog predstavnika; Mogao bi baciti veliki broj pitanja o kojima bi zvučalo dalje iznad idioma. Na primjer:

  1. Are you a white-collar worker? Tell about your company.

  2. What do you think about Ukrainian blue screen?

  3. Have you ever got any white elephant from your relatives or grandparents?

  4. Are you tickled pink if you get a nice present from somebody?

  5. How often do you look blue or browned off?

  6. Do you expect some golden opportunity in the nearest future?

  7. Are you always in the black?

Mislim da nećete izgubiti lice, i mirno odgovori na pitanja.

I sad ja predlažem malo više fokusa i obratiti pažnju na druge obično koriste izrazi. Usput, hajde da jednostavno sastaviti, naime odabrati pravi vrijednost za svaku idiom:

Dakle, nakon uspješnog pokušaja, hajde da usporedite : 1a / 2g / 3b / 4d / 5h / 7e / 8c. / 5h / 7e / 8c. Kakvi su rezultati? Čak i ako ste proveli na sličan posao za više od 15 minuta, ne očajavajte, jer ste proveli vrijeme u društvu plave. A sada pogledajte primjere ispod koristeći podatke iz fiksnih izraza.

  1. The teachers always loved him. He was a true blue-eyed boy.

  2. What can be said about this country’s politics? They only blue pencil the press but never try to improve the work of their own.

  3. It happened out of the blue. I was deeply shocked.

  4. She always looks blue. She is depressed and almost never cheered up.

  5. He drank too much and everybody sees that he is blue in the face.

  6. Oh! I haven’t seen you for ages!!! Just once in a blue moon.

  7. He is being followed by men / boys in blue.

  8. I can’t say that I couldn’t predict it but the results were like a bolt from the blue.

A kako bi se osigurala održivo korištenje izraza u govoru, ja predlažem da zanimljivu priču, nakon predloženog plana:

Use the plan

  1. How did it happen?
  2. Who were the main characters?
  3. How did they feel? What did they do?
  4. What were the results?

U vašem mjestu ja bih napisao sledeću priču:

  1. It happened out of the blue one sunny day when I was going along the street.
  2. Two men in blue came up to me and asked politely to show them my documents.
  3. The men in blue were browned off and felt blue. They were looking around and couldn’t stand calmly near me. I understood that something dangerous should take place like a bolt from the blue.
  4. I was completely right. The men in blue were pretending to be policemen in order to get money from me. They might have wanted to blue pencil my passport but two real boys in blue stopped them in time.
